Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has decided to retire from international cricket with immediate effect. Making the announcement on social media, Imad, a left-arm spinner and lower-order batter, played 55 ODIs and 66 T20Is for Pakistan.
His last appearance for Pakistan was in April this year in a T20I against New Zealand. In his retirement statement, Imad expressed gratitude to the PCB for their support and thanked the Pakistan fans for their passionate support. He highlighted the exciting time for Pakistan cricket with new coaches and leadership incoming.
Imad, 34, was part of Pakistan’s U-19 World Cup-winning side in 2006 and made his T20I debut in 2015. In ODIs, he took 44 wickets and scored 986 runs, while in T20Is, he claimed 65 wickets and scored 486 runs.
Imad is currently part of Karachi Kings’ roster in the PSL and has played in various T20 leagues worldwide.
