However, Frederiksen has downplayed the incident, emphasizing that he harbors “absolutely no problem” with Klopp. Speaking to Danish sports magazine Tipsbladet, Frederiksen shed light on the behind-the-scenes interaction, revealing that Klopp’s frustration extended beyond the televised interview.
According to Frederiksen, Klopp continued to express his displeasure down the hallway, leading Frederiksen to follow him out of curiosity. Despite the animated exchange, Frederiksen maintains that there are no lingering issues between them.
“I interpret it mostly as an expression of his terrible frustration,” Frederiksen explained. “There will be absolutely no problems in the future… When I interview him again, we’ll still be good friends – professionally speaking.”
Addressing speculation surrounding Klopp’s remarks about his shape, Frederiksen clarified that it was not a reference to his weight. “No, no, no, that’s not what he meant at all,” he stated. “Klopp is not like that… He meant that I was unable and unfit to ask questions.”
