Hardik Pandya is expected to rejoin the Mumbai Indians through a cash-only trade

Hardik Pandya seems ready to return to the Mumbai Indians, where he began playing in the IPL back in 2015. The possible deal involves Mumbai paying him INR 15 crore (about $1.8 million) plus an extra fee to the Titans. Hardik might get half of this extra fee. If this deal happens, it could be the biggest trade ever in the IPL. Mumbai needs to let go of some players before November 26 due to money constraints. Hardik led the Titans to win in 2022 and almost won in 2023. In his two seasons, he scored 833 runs and took 11 wickets. Currently, he’s healing from an ankle injury. If the deal goes through, he’d be the third traded IPL captain. The Titans, owned by CVC Capital Partners, got Hardik in 2021. Hardik first played in the IPL with Mumbai in 2015, where he became a top all-rounder. Though he was with Mumbai until 2021, he was surprisingly let go before the 2022 mega auction, leading to him captaining the Titans.
