In an interview with JioCinema, Bumrah disclosed that there was a time when he contemplated leaving Indian cricket behind and relocating to Canada to pursue his cricketing ambitions.
During the conversation, Jasprit Bumrah candidly shared his thoughts on his earlier plans to move to Canada. “Every boy dreams of playing cricket and making it big. Like many others, I also had aspirations. We considered moving to Canada where some of our relatives reside,” he stated.
Reflecting on his decision, Bumrah admitted that if his journey with the Mumbai Indians hadn’t been as fruitful, he would have seriously considered trying his luck in Canadian cricket. However, he emphasized that his mother’s reluctance to embrace a different culture played a pivotal role in altering their plans.
“At first, we contemplated relocating as a family, but my mother was hesitant due to the cultural differences. I’m grateful that things unfolded differently, allowing me to pursue my cricketing career here with the Indian team and Mumbai Indians,” Bumrah elaborated.
