Meanwhile, wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel, hailing from Agra, made his mark with a stellar performance, including a crucial knock of 90 runs and an unbeaten 39 in a challenging chase at Ranchi, earning him the Player of the Match accolade in only his second game.

The Apex Council also deliberated on the scheduling of the upcoming Ranji Trophy season, considering the adverse weather conditions prevalent in northern India during December and January. Recognizing the impact of fog and bad light on matches played in cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Kanpur, the BCCI is contemplating a revised calendar to mitigate disruptions caused by inclement weather.
