Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold wowed everyone with a fantastic free-kick that not only went over the wall but also bounced off the crossbar and Fulham goalie Bernd Leno, giving Liverpool an early lead.
In a really cool move, Alexander-Arnold’s kick curled just right, dipping at the perfect time to hit the crossbar, bounce down, and score. The full-back, being a bit cheeky, said, “Technically I’ve not scored two, but I’ll claim it,” when talking to BBC Match of the Day.
Former Liverpool player Stephen Warnock praised the awesome kick, calling it “one of the best free-kicks you’ll see this season” on BBC Radio 5 Live. “My word, what a kick from Alexander-Arnold,” he said. “We talked him up before the game for his skills, and he just proved it again. This guy is a fantastic player.”
Even though the goal is officially recorded as an own goal by Leno, Alexander-Arnold’s amazing skills got everyone talking. Liverpool’s early lead, thanks to their star player, makes the match look promising.
